What we learn measuring Swedish stores

Plain notes from the work — what actually makes a storefront slow, what a score is worth, and what we remove from stores we take over. Opinions where we have them, measurements where we can take them.

67% of the stores we tested fail LCP.

Third-party scripts, almost every time.

We ran the first stores through the speed test and read Lighthouse’s third-party summary on every one. Third-party scripts account for 61% of median render delay — and the worst offenders are the ones merchants pay the most for. We are not comparing themes yet; that needs a detector we have not built.

Swedish E-commerce — August 2026

Every store, every column, sortable. Lighthouse names each third party and what it costs — the same handful keep appearing.

  1. 01Article · CostYour app bill is a code decision, not a subscriptionSEK 3 000 a month is SEK 108 000 over three years — mostly features OS 2.0 already gives you, if someone builds them.
  2. 02Article · Accessibility91% of the stores we tested fail on focus orderThe one accessibility number that moves without a redesign — Lighthouse flags it on nearly every storefront we run.

Free speed test

Every store we test gets its numbers published.

Run the test and the result becomes a row in the next benchmark: scores, Core Web Vitals, page weight and the third parties Lighthouse found. A profile page per store comes once we have storage and a scheduled job.
